The Spoon N1 single muffler kit for the AP1 S2000 was carefully developed to provide the best balance of power, weight, and sound.
Digital measurement of exhaust gas pressure and flow volume, engine dyno testing and circuit testing were used extensively. Testing showed that placing the resonator close to the engine provided the best sound reduction and weight balance. Consequently, the exhaust not only provides power, but also reduces exhaust weight and shifts the exhaust weight balance towards the centre of the car to help improve the cars handling.
