ATS metal twin disc clutch kit, Spec II, with a cover clamp load of 1700kg, pull type. The ATS metal clutch uses an extra-large 9 inch (230 mm) friction disc for high torque capacity, with thoroughly lightened discs for clean disengagement and a responsive shift feel. A cushioning disc gives a gentle half-clutch and a spiral-grooved center plate keeps disengagement stable. ATS metal discs are interchangeable with ATS carbon discs, and every component is also sold separately as a repair part. Spec II is the ATS low pedal effort specification. This is the ATS Double Action Pull clutch: a stepped double action plate operates long and short diaphragm release arms, so the pedal first fully disengages the clutch and then gives a slow, wide half-clutch zone (3 to 5 times wider than a conventional reinforced pull clutch) that makes stalling on take-off very unlikely. It is compatible with the original pull-type release system, so no conversion parts are needed, and the ATS reinforced wedge collar is fitted as standard.
