Cusco D1 Roll cages are made of Chromoly and apply to chassis reinforcement, yet they are not always allowed in motorsports. Although Chromoly is 40% lighter than steel, its resistance is not as good, and may be bend in case of impact. We recommend this option for show-cars and/or amateur track days only. Fully handcrafted in Japan and finished in the really popular Cusco Metallic Blue, JDM street cred is guarantied. these roll cages are available as bolt-on or weldable depending on the application. The number of points varies from 4 to 10 depending on application and chassis. To understand the different type, please follow the guide below:
Number of passengers:
2 Passengers: The rear seats will need to be removed. The cage will obstruct the rear doors and thus limit their usage.
5 Passengers: Commonly called "along the roof" by Cusco Japan. These models follow the roof line and allow you to keep your rear seats, giving the possibility of seating 5 passengers in the car. Please note that in certain cases, rear plastics may need to be trimmed or cut for installation purpose.
Escape Dash:
The escape dash option is self explanatory: the roll cage at the front is S-shaped and avoid your dashboard. It is not required to trim/cut your dashboard to install it. If no Escape Dash is stated in the title of the product, it means that the roll cage will go trought the dashboard and you will need to modify it to install the cage.
Safety regulations: Please note that in most countries, roll cages may not be approved for safety reason. Please check with your local authorities for more information.
