The Cusco Pinion Distance Collar is more sturdy than the OE part, and designed to withstand the abuse of constant acceleration and deceleration.
It is especially recommended for vehicles putting out more power & torque than the factory output. When put under increased strain from added power, the factory rear pinion spacer that is located on the pinion gear shaft will crush and cause excessive play between the pinion and ring gear causing backlash noise.
