The HKS R-Type Front Mount Intercooler Kit for the Subaru Impreza WRX STI GRB (EJ207) uses a large-capacity, low pressure-loss R-Type core to reduce heat soak and help stabilize intake temperatures. Moving the intercooler to the front helps reduce heat storage in the engine bay during stops, supporting more consistent performance and reducing the tendency for knocking on launch.
