As the main causes
- Due to the high output of the turbo, the amount of heat generated by the turbine is very large, the capacity of the cooler core is insufficient and there is a problem with the fins, the running wind is difficult to escape, and the piping and heat in the intercooler do not flow easily.
- In addition to engine cooling measures such as thermostats, sports coolant, aero parts, etc., it is possible to obtain stable output in a higher rpm range and achieve a significant increase in output by increasing the intercooler capacity = increasing the heat exchange rate and improving the turbine flow rate.
J'SRACING started joint development with DRL (Daiwa Radiator Works) for the development of the intercooler.
In addition to the output test by Dynapak, we also conducted actual driving tests on the circuit and street, adjusted the fitting and fitted it, and finished the product just by replacing it with a genuine product without major processing. As a result, a cooling effect of about 5°C or more at the minimum inlet air temperature and about 15°C or more at the maximum inlet air temperature is achieved under full normal conditions!!
In addition, by making it lightweight, the impact on overall athletic performance is minimized by avoiding the increase in weight of the front overhang, which is the position where the intercooler is mounted.
