The NGK MotoDX plug uses a new-material D-Shape ground electrode and a ruthenium center electrode for excellent combustion efficiency.
- Ignitability: the D-Shape ground electrode does not block the mixture flow or the flame spread; better starting than standard plugs and Iridium IX
- Acceleration: 0.2 sec faster than a standard plug (NGK test)
- Economy: 2.3% better idle fuel economy than a standard plug (NGK test)
- Fouling resistance: larger thermo clearance at the insulator tip
- Long life: new-material ground electrode and ruthenium center electrode
