Swift's temperature control is very severe. Earls decided to sell middle temp thermostats from many test results such as supercharger and super ECU. It turned out that there are many cases where the performance of the engine has not been fully achieved with the conventional low temperature thermostat (the one at about 65 degrees). When using a low-temp thermostat, the temperature was too low during driving, leading to power down and fuel consumption down, and I sometimes felt that the power and response were bad although I did not know what it was. If the water temperature drops below 80 degrees, the computer may misunderstand that the engine is cold and the operation of variable valve and electronic throttle etc. may become worse and the engine performance may be suppressed.
The engine performance will go down without knowing it. However, it is better to lower the water temperature properly as much as possible, so I thought about the middle temp thermostat. By using this thermostat, it is possible to always keep the temperature from 80 degrees to 95 degrees at which the performance of the engine can be obtained the most, and you can use it with confidence.
