The FK8 is equipped with an adaptive damper as standard by SAS (SEEKER Advanced suspension system), but in our demo car test, the negative characteristics of a so-called "heavy FF car" that forces you to endure cornering from start to finish appeared, and cornering was not fully enjoyable. How do we deal with the weight of the FK8, which is by no means light? We continued to think carefully about this. In the first half of the development, we first modified the damper released by a major manufacturer and repeated test and error. However, we were unable to come up with a specification that we could propose with confidence, and we decided that the method of using an existing base damper and modifying it was insufficient to maximize the potential of the FK8.
As a result, by designing many of the components exclusively for our company, we were able to develop the ideal without being bound by the design, although it was very costly, and we were able to realize a high-performance damper kit that could not be realized at the level of manufacturer-supplied specification changes.
