Spoon has developed S2000 aero parts since 2007, and has demonstrated excellent performance in super endurance races, etc., but pursued further aerodynamics and launched a new front / rear bumper for S2000. Launched last year, it has a simple design but outperforms the old model, while suppressing air resistance and controlling the air flowing through the bottom of the body to obtain a downforce. This aerodynamics allows the engine to take full advantage of its power, while also being able to withstand the lateral G without sacrificing speed in corners, which is also beneficial for fuel economy. The development uses state-of-the-art CFD analysis to review the flow of air from the front end of the bumper to the engine hood and reduce the air resistance by making the shape gentle. In addition, both ends of the bumper are inflated more than genuine parts, and the lower part of the bumper has the same effect as attaching a canard to generate downforce. In addition, an effect of sucking out the air inside the wheel arch using the flow of the air is generated. The above effects were confirmed by performing fluid analysis.
