- Applied D and E vehicles: STI recommends installing this item in combination with the Rear Stay Kit (Part Number: ST57830ST000) for maximum performance.Contrary to popular belief, having the stiffest possible suspension is not the way to optimum performance, as this may cause uneven weight distribution when cornering, leading to a considerable loss of traction. So how do we lock the struts and stiffen up the body without losing the dynamic flexing? This product adds the features of a draw stiffener to the flexible tower bar, a body stiffening component developed specially by STI. Applying tension to the tower bar in advance increases the steering responsiveness even during slight steering operation.
