Increasing the engine specifications to higher compression will increase the load on the starter motor. If a crankshaft with a longer stroke is used, the burden will increase further, and in the worst case, the internal ring gear of the starter motor will be damaged. (Fig. 1) The above image is a genuine ring gear, but since the material is made of resin, parts that were not a problem with the standard engine can be used for the stroke-up engine, and the ring gear will start several times. The upper part cannot withstand the load and is missing and is no longer functioning. TODA reinforced ring gears are given materials and surface treatments that are compatible with the internal planetary gears. Please use it to prevent sudden start troubles of tuning engine and stroke up engine.
It is designed according to Honda genuine part number 31214-P3F-003 [Starter motor (DENSO), gear assembly, internal], so it can be used with many engines. However, we do not know all about the compatibility of starter motor parts for each engine. Sorry to trouble you, but please check the part number according to the parts list according to your vehicle.
